It really was an honor just to be nominated, but Stewart Technologies was thrilled to be named as the winner of this category for demonstrating a history of growth or materially improving the regional business climate at 2023 Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce’s annual event.

With ownership led by Tara Schinkel and Kristy Mumma, Stewart Technologies is undergoing a renaissance that has seen them relocate offices to the BWI business district, increase staffing, and complete the largest implementations in company history while thriving during a global pandemic. Tara and Kristy are a strong partnership team who balance each other well. They have known each other since diapers and have been running parallel paths since high school, local high schools (Chesapeake High School / Severna Park Senior High), state colleges (UMD and UMBC), and sports (field hockey). These competitive moms are both still very active, and can regularly be found on sports fields, playing, coaching, or supporting their children.
